Our Story

Ben’s Expertise

As a writer and artist, he built a website with WordPress and promoted his work on YouTube, Facebook and X (formerly Twitter). He’s also served as a writing tutor, sometimes for others, but also as the owner of the tutoring company, Writers’ Bloc. He also served as a Marketing Intern for American Farmland Trust, where he had his first exposure to web management, social media marketing and campaign development.

Since moving to Canada in 2018, Ben has served as an employment counselor, job developer and outreach specialist, getting to know the ins and outs of small business owners in the Greater Toronto Area.

Ben is comfortable in the company of my fellow entrepreneurs, and he’s confident that he can help small business owners spend more time doing what they love. This is his way of making the world, and Nova Scotia, a better place.

Ben brings a set of unique experiences to digital marketing that set him apart. Ben has been an educator, a writer, a small business owner on top of working in outreach and business development in both the for profit and nonprofit sectors. Throughout these experiences, his problem-solving and critical thinking skills have led him to success.

As an educator, he has an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction. He taught ESL and literature to middle schoolers in Northern Virginia for 7 years before moving to the university-level where he taught Composition and Literature.

    Community

    Without community, we’re nobody. Two Bridges was started with community in mind, and with the question, “How can we make life better for people on Nova Scotia’s South Shore?” We’ve expanded our focus to small businesses throughout Nova Scotia, but we’re still committed to thinking big to support small businesses.

    Integrity

    Two Bridges prides ourselves on following through on our word, and on communicating truthfully and thoroughly with our clients and stakeholders. Many Nova Scotia small business owners distrust marketers and slick Silicon Valley approaches to digital marketing. Two Bridges is different. We don’t make promises that we can’t keep.

    Agility

    Situations change, and the information that we have about them changes, too. Two Bridges knows that our marketing strategies must change along with them. We develop and follow processes that allow us to be circumspect, to make data-driven decisions, and to adapt our approach to best serve you and your needs.

What’s in a name?

The Two Bridges name has layers of meanings. The most important, of course, is the metaphorical meaning. Two Bridges represents the twin bridges between us and our digital marketing clients. We want clients to know that communication goes both ways, and we don’t want to dictate to anyone how to run their business. The bridges also represent the connection between the clients that we work with and their customers.

Then, there are the real-life bridges. Most South Shore residents will recognize that Bridgewater, where Two Bridges is based, has the two bridges closest to the mouth of the La Have River. Our metropole of Halifax is also famous for its two bridges, the MacKay and Macdonald, connecting Halifax and Dartmouth.

And, lastly, is the twist of fate. Founder and Marketing Director, Ben Brezner, grew up in Bridgewater, Massachusetts in the United States. He had wanted to live in community for years, and when he found out about the opportunity to move to Treehouse Village in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, he knew that it was a sign that something beautiful lay ahead.
